"The Hunger Games" Movie Critic

P.S. This is solely based on my own opinion and views on the movie. By any chance someone will get offended and disagree with me, please use the comment box and feel free to express yourself.

Another P.S. If you will get bored by my movie critic a.k.a story-telling, please don't hesitate to leave this page and critic the movie yourself. Note: Watch the movie while eating ice cream, its really a good treat. But if you don't have any ice cream on your fridge then its better to bear with me. :)

I hit the sack late last night (or should I say early this morning?) because I watched a movie that rapidly gained popularity today. Guess what movie??? Oh, you're right! Its The Hunger Games. Well, let me tell you how I learned about the movie first.
I have a tumblr account which I visited almost everyday, and most of the people I followed there post gifs of the movie. The first thing that really grabbed my attention was Josh Hutcherson aka Peeta Mellark because he was the one of the major villain in a movie entitled The Vampire's Assistant. And I tell you, that one is a good movie too; nice effects, nice casting, nice plot, nice acting (oh well, I will just write another movie critic for that movie too). So, where am I? Okay, I got curious about the movie because there are good feedback and most of the gif posted on the tumblr are ... well, pretty much interesting. And when I saw more posts about The Hunger Games, the word that really registered on my mind is C-O-O-L. Now you get the whole picture.

And so, that was the story-telling part and now I'm gonna start the critic about the movie. :)
Let me go first about the casting, in which I think most of you will definitely agree that, the movie selected the best characters for the roles. I mean, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen is just perfect, she played the role very well. And I love her! Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark is also very good. Oh well, he's acting was also good in The Vampire's Assistant. The other actors and actresses were also very good, too bad their exposure were not as much. Oh I forgot, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, two thumbs up for you dude!

Next, the setting. The place is perfect, the woods had a lot of trees. *eyes rolling* The Capitol however is very advanced and futuristic, I just hate the new fashion trend though. :)

The cinematography, I think is just right. Okay, much, much better than right.

Lastly, the concept of the story. I think its very original and fresh. There are a lot new ideas and twists and turns but its a little bit more violent. Of course, I know its a action movie. But some scenes are unrealistic like the changing of rules in the middle of the game. I mean, that's so lame. And that people are controlling some of the things that are happening during the game like setting fire in the forest or sending wild dogs, why not just leave the tributes alone. I want to see the movie in more realistic manner, like some tributes will die out of hunger or carelessness and not just because somebody or something killed them. I think its also more realistic if the tributes really stayed very long on the forest, let's say months. And as what the movie showed, most if not all of the tributes are like blood-thirsty animals who were very eager to kill anyone just to claim the prize, and that only Katniss and Peeta were the soft-hearted ones. And lastly, I thought Peeta was something better.

Oh right, I expected too much. Anyway, its a good movie. Watch it! :)
